President Donald Trump will soon sign an executive order temporarily barring foreigners seeking green cards from coming to the U.S., in an effort to support Americans who lost their jobs as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

At a Tuesday press conference, Trump said that the upcoming order, which could be signed as soon as tomorrow, will affect those seeking green cards but will not block those entering as tourists, students or foreigners on temporary work visas.
